Bhairavi is one of the diety in Bhairavadi Panchamoorthy. she is always worshipped with bhairava and has her own dyana vidhanam and mantra for different purpose in mantravada. Rishi of Bhairavi mantra is Shakti and chandas is Pankti and devata is Maha bhairavi .She is worshipped with panchmoorthies in many families of north kerala. She also appear in differnt theyya kolam. She has her own puja vidhana with guruti tarpana. Meppad sampradya is one of the authority and experts to do Peeta pratishta and tantrika puja to please Bhairavdi panchamoorties. This kaula /Shakta sampradya has done many of the peeta prathista in north kerala. Even many samarpanam of old pancha moorthy vigrahas done is still with temple authorities. As Meppad kalri temple has Bhairavadi panchamoorthy Prathishta and abhishekam and naivedyam is done on daily basis and the Gurukkal of Meppad has the upasana and vidhanam in palm leaf they are the authority for doing pratishta and ritual for bhairavadi Panchamoorthies.
